How to Correct/Change Your Name in Self-Service
Intended population: Students
Purpose: Students can use this guide to correct or change their name that displays on their account.
Note: This will not change the name that appears on legal documents (e.g. diploma). If their name has been changed legally, they will need to process this change with Enrollment Services.
- Navigate to msjc.edu, hover over Login, and select Self-Service
- Log in using your MyMSJC credentials
- At the top right, select your student ID, then select User Profile
- Select Edit Personal Identity
- Remove the duplicated last name or correct/change the name on your account and select Save
Note: Once you have made the changes on your account, it can take up to 24 hours for the changes to appear on your Self-Service, Canvas and student email.
