How to Access and Navigate Canvas (ACEN/BRN)

Purpose:
This document provides guidance to the ACEN/ BRN team on how to access and navigate MSJC's Canvas LMS.
Requirements:
- MSJC account credentials (welcome emails sent on 9/8)
Instructions:
- Open a web browser and navigate to www.msjc.edu. Select Canvas from the links available in the myMSJC section.
- At the login screen, enter your MSJC [1] email address, [2] password and [3] select Login.
- Upon successful login, you will be directed to the Canvas Dashboard which will have course cards for each of the courses to which your account has access. To enter a course, select one of the course cards.
- After selecting a course card, you will be directed to the home page of the Canvas course website. You can navigate to different areas of the course by selecting links on the [1] Course Navigation Menu. The content of that area of the course will display and can be reviewed in the [2] content section.
- To view another Canvas course website, select [1] Dashboard on the Canvas Global Navigation Menu.
- After selecting Dashboard on the Canvas Global Navigation menu, you will be directed back to the Canvas Dashboard. Repeat steps 3-5 to access and review another course.
