How to Install Microsoft Office 365 Apps

NOTE: This article is for installing Microsoft Office 365 on a Windows 10 device. Instructions for Windows 11 coming soon.

Students can use this guide to install the full Microsoft Office 365 suite. The applications included in the Microsoft Office 365 suite are Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, OneNote, and Access.

NOTE: If you are currently not registered in any courses, you will not have access to the Microsoft Office 365 suite. After registering for a course, your account will be licensed and you can access the full suite.

Go to office.com and select Sign In.
Enter your full student email address in the field (ex 0999999@my.msjc.edu) and select Next.
Enter your password for your student email.
NOTE: Your password for your student email is the same password for Canvas and Self-Service. If you do not remember your password, please follow our guide on How to Reset Your Student Email and MyMSJC Password
Once you are logged in, select All Apps on the top right.
On the drop-down, select Microsoft 365 apps. This will download the installation file for Microsoft 365 apps.
A prompt will appear on the screen with instructions on completing the installation.
Select Open File after the installer downloads.
Your installation will begin, it can take some time for the full suite to install.
After the installation has been completed, you will receive a notification that you are all set! Select Close.
