Launching IBM SPSS from a campus computer

MSJC installs IBM SPSS where it requires communicating with a network licensing server to validate the existing license. When a user launches IBM SPSS, the user may be prompted to choose to either log in to a specific subscription license or to use an existing license. If a user is presented with this option, follow these steps to successfully launch and use IBM SPSS.

Open IBM SPSS Statistics by double clicking the icon on the desktop
The Activate IBM SPSS Statistics window will open. Choose Apply Existing License
After the application communicates with the network licensing server and successfully applies the license, the Welcome to IBM SPSS Statistics window will appear. Here you can launch new datasets, open recent and/or sample files, see what new features are available as well as access tutorials, etc. If you want to skip this and go right to the Data Editor, simply close this window.
If you close the window, the Data Editor window will be available.
